When and how did you get involved with Special Olympics?
I got involved through a friend. I’ve been involved with Special Olympics for five years.
Will this be your first Special Olympics Canada Games? If not, what other National Games did you compete in, and in what sports?
Yes, this is my first Special Olympics Canada Games.
What does being part of Special Olympics Team BC 2026 mean to you?
It means I am representing Team BC for Special Olympics and it is an honour. Not everyone gets this chance.
What is your goal for these National Games?
To become a better athlete.
What is your favourite Special Olympics experience to date?
I would say my favourite experience was Prince George when I was competing for swimming.
What do you like most about the sport you will compete in at National Games?
I love that it’s all girls on my team and my team seems great and super supportive.
What would you say about Special Olympics to encourage someone to get involved?
I would say it’s really great because you get to meet so many people that you will become friends with. You make lots of long lasting friendships.
Please tell us a little bit more about yourself! What else would you like people to know about you?
I have completed for Canada Games for swimming and gave it my all. I am very friendly but super competitive.
