That's a wrap on the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games! We are so proud of the Special Olympics Team Canada members from B.C., and loved cheering for the more than 2,600 athletes from 105 countries who gave their all on this remarkable global stage.

The countdown to competition has begun, as 108 Special Olympics Canada athletes with intellectual disabilities, plus 35 volunteer mission staff and coaches, prepare and train for their trip to the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria March 14 to 25.

Yes, these summer days are great. But who’s ready for winter? The members of Special Olympics Team Canada 2017 sure are!

Fifteen Special Olympics BC athletes, seven coaches, and one mission staff member have qualified for spots on Team Canada for the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria, set to be held March 14 to 25 next year.
