Rick Prosk celebrated with community award

25 May 2017

Congratulations to Special Olympics BC – Quesnel Program Coordinator Rick Prosk who was named Quesnel’s Volunteer Citizen of the Year in April!

A dedicated SOBC volunteer of more than 13 years, Prosk works hard to provide athletes with life-changing opportunities and has played an important role in developing SOBC – Quesnel’s programs. He says his favourite thing about being involved with SOBC is interacting with the amazing individuals in his Local.

An inspiring leader and mentor, Prosk represented B.C. as a curling coach at the 2016 Special Olympics Canada Winter Games. He has also supported athletes as a coach at the 2005 and 2013 SOBC Summer Games and the 2011 and 2015 SOBC Winter Games.

Thank you, Rick, for all your great work!

If you know of an SOBC member recognized with a local award, please share the news with SOBC’s communications team via megan@specialolympics.bc.ca or 604-737-3077.
