SOBC - Nelson

Special Olympics BC – Nelson consists of an ever-growing group of dedicated volunteers and athletes who live in the Nelson area. As one of the longest running Locals in the Kootenays, we currently offer: 5-pin bowling, bocce, rhythmic gymnastics, soccer, and snowshoeing. We also offer Active Start/FUNdamentals for young athletes ages 2-11 and we will be adding Club Fit to our programming in January 2018. Nelson will be starting a swimming program as of January 2018 - intakes will be the first week of January.

We are actively seeking volunteers to join our executive in the roles of Public Relations Coordinator, Program Coordinator, and Registration Coordinator, as well as assistant coaches and program volunteers for all of our sports.

A bowling coordinator is a priority role for us at this time - if you are available every second Saturday - able to drive and own a reliable vehicle AND have a love for bowling - please contact the Nelson local ASAP.

If you are interested in getting involved with SOBC as a volunteer or an athlete please contact our volunteer coordinatorr:
