The New Car Dealers Association of British Columbia has been an
instrumental sponsor of Special Olympics BC since 1984 having
raised over $2.99 million. Its main fundraising initiative, the
auction, has grown to become provincial in scope, with online and
fax bidding enabling dealers and donors from all regions of the
province to become involved.
The 2009 Auction ran from June 1st to June 13th.
Companies from across the province donated items in a
variety of categories from sport and travel items, to advertising
space, to new cars. The New Car Dealers Association of
BC is very pleased to report that cash pledges combined with the
proceeds from 221 auction items, brought the amount raised to just
over $145,000 for Special Olympics BC. Thank you to all the donors
and bidders for making the auction such a success!
